Redevelopment of Surfers Paradise Foreshore by ACO Polycrete![]() The Surfers Paradise Foreshore redevelopment is flanked by Laycock Street and View Avenue. The purpose of the $25m upgrade is to reconnect the heart of Surfers Paradise to the beach. It is also to create a safe, accessible public space with improved recreational opportunities and necessary infrastructure for major events. A wide pedestrian promenade encompassing barbeques and picnic areas required trench drainage. Designers selected long runs of sloped KlassikDrain KS100 to minimise connection to the underlying stormwater pipe. Grade 316 stainless steel Heelsafe® Antislip grates were also specified for durability in the salt water environment.
