Sloped Trench Drain for Train Platform from ACO Polycrete

drain at richlands train station

Richlands Train Station, Brisbane

Richlands Railway Station is a recent addition to the new Springfield line belonging to the Queensland Rail City train network. As with all platforms, designers were faced with the challenge of keeping the slab level and safe for all commuters whilst ensuring adequate drainage.

ACO's sloped KlassikDrain trench drain was therefore specified for the removal of surface water from the platform area during wet weather. Heelsafe® Anti-Slip grates were selected to ensure the metal surfaces would not trap women's heels. This grate offers a level of slip resistance providing greater assurance to commuters on wet days.
