Loadbearing Wall Support Joists from TECBUILD TECBEAM JOISTS SUPPORTING PARALLEL LOAD BEARING WALLS(LBW) Tecbeam joists over the years has proven that it can be designed to support loadbearing walls. It is not only capable of supporting LBWs crossing the joists but also parallel wall loads without using steel beams as shown above. A double joist(DJ) or triple joist(TJ) depending on the span and the load the joists is subjected to, can be used to support these loads. This structural property of Tecbeam joists can be attributed to the continuous stamp pressed steel web with stiffening ribs and the use of strongbacks through the holes to distribute point loads, if any.
