Stainless Steel Brickslot Pavement Drain from ACO

brickslot drain

Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) is a national resource for education and interpretative programs and comprises two floors of galleries for exhibitions.

Part of the designer's brief was the pavement design outside the building's entrance where utilities and services were discretely positioned to provide a minimalistic look. A one way fall built along the pavement surface to direct surface water towards the concrete barriers allowed for ACO's Brickslot to be used.

ACO's Brickslot is an unobtrusive drain with an asymmetric slot design allowing the system to be laid directly against the concrete wall footing. For enhanced durability, the frame was manufactured from durable stainless steel.
