Engineered Concrete Sleeper Retaining Walls from Concrib

Concrib HDG-Steel / Concrete Sleeper Wall
System for New Brighton Development
The Project:
Brighton Lakes is a new master-planned community developed by Mirvac at New Brighton in the flourishing western Sydney growth corridor. It will eventually become home to around 300 families.
The site:
The site has been designed to provide a way of life that is both healthy and safe, with high levels of pedestrian and bicycle access, integrated open spaces and parklands. A wide range of housing options are available, from 2-bedroom apartments up to 5-bedroom homes and Concrib were called in to maximise land values with concrete sleeper walls that would integrate with the natural environment.
The solution:
Several different face textures for the concrete sleeper beams were considered by the developer, including smooth and timber-grain, however the system selected to provide both form and function was our "Split-Stone" texture sleepers with full-depth oxide colouring in "Canvas" colour. Heavy duty hot-dipped galvanised I-Beams were used for the vertical cantilever support posts, for convenience the posts have a certified integral fence connection, allowing fencing to be bolted directly to the posts, thus, no digging, no concreting, and the fence is positioned directly online with the retaining wall.
The result:
The result is an attractive concrete sleeper retaining wall solution that serves its purpose well. And because Concrib's Quality Management System is ISO9001:2008 certified, clients can rest assured the walls were manufactured to strict quality guidelines and are fully compliant with the relevant Australian Standards.
