Galvanised T Lintels from Treco Steel

Treco Steel has recently expanded its range of Galvanised "T" Lintels. There are now three sizes of 6mm base as well as 3 sizes of 10mm base T Sections. The range of lengths available has also been increased.

Galvanised "T" Lintels are the products of comprehensive scientific research program. This research has resulted in an extremely 'user friendly' product, which has been designed for strength, while minimising work for builders.

Specifically, Galvanised "T" Lintels have been developed to act as a structural member and do not require the composite action of the masonry to support designated loads.

When using Galvanised "T" Lintels, there is no need to apply mortar between the brickwork and the Galvanised "T" Lintel to form a composite member. Simply select a suitable Galvanised "T" Lintel from the charts provided and lay the brickwork directly over the Galvanised "T" Lintel.

Features of Galvanised "T" Lintels

1. Designed as a structural member, there is no need to create a composite member on site.

2. Cost savings when compared to many specially fabricated beams.

3. Hot dip galvanized to Australian Standard AS 4680:2006 and in accordance with the Building Code of Australia for protective coating on steel embedded in masonry.

4. Optimum strength to weight ratio ensures ease of handling, without compromising structural integrity.

General Installation Notes

The web of the Galvanised "T" Lintel is vertical
The Galvanised "T" Lintel is simply supported at both ends
The Galvanised "T" Lintel is loaded such that the load acts vertically and equally on both sides of the web
The Galvanised "T" Lintel can be considered to be fully supported laterally along its entire length
UDL loads are constant along the length of the bar
All loads, including the Galvanised "T" Lintel and any brickwork, are considered
Hot-dip galvanised to AS/NZS 1170.1:2006
Loads in accordance with AS/NZS 1170.1:2002
