Workshop Floor Surfacing with Jaxxon and Kevlar from Bayset
BLAIR ATHOL - Rio Tinto Coal Approved NMP applicator, The Epoxy Floor Coating Specialists, carried out this application on a 3,000m2 workshop area that was heavily contaminated and damaged. The old floor surface was so badly damaged that fitters were unable to wheel tool trolleys across the surface. Surface preparation consisted of diamond grinding and high-pressure hot water rotary cleaning with a heavy-duty degreasing solution. Damaged areas were filled using an epoxy mortar consisting of JAXXON 1525/Alox/Quartz filler. Kevlar®-reinforced JAXXON 1525 was then applied and broadcast with Alox (aluminium oxide) for non-slip, followed by a finish coat of JAXXON 1505. Richard Mactaggart of The Epoxy Floor Coating Specialists reports that the coating has performed to expectations.
