Remote Island Potable Water Tank Leak Repair from Bayset

automatic watering system

SCUBAPOX 1725.

Approved NMP applicator, Fremantle Diving Centre, carried out this application using 180 litres of Scubapox 1725 to repair leaks in this potable water tank on a remote Arafura Sea island.

The island population were running out of drinking water on a regular basis due to the severe leaking of the only available water tank.

The tank was leaking from almost every seam, and the original sealing compound had failed. The divers successfully stopped the leaking by re-sealing every seam using Scubapox 1725 underwater. This resulted in a huge saving of water and a very successful outcome for the community.

Antony Old from Fremantle Diving Centre said "We have developed so many different applications for the Scubapox products, and have had such long lasting success with them, that we are now at the stage where we perform at least one job per week using Scubapox, ranging in quantity from a few litres to several hundred litres."

Fremantle Diving Centre were able to mobilise promptly with their specialised dive spread conveniently packed into a small chartered aircraft. A second aircraft was utilised to transport the Scubapox product.
