Steps to Include Fee Leave Treatments in Home Care Billing

When a client needs to suspend their services, known as Client Leave, it's essential to understand the steps for incorporating fee leave treatments for home care package billing on CareVision.

Home care packages allow for a specified number of leave days per year without impacting funding. Similarly, NDIS patients can suspend services without affecting their funding.

A person may opt for Client Leave for various reasons, including Transition Care Leave, Hospital Leave, Social Leave, and Residential Respite Leave. However, taking Client Leave can influence two critical aspects:

Client Fees: The fees that a person is required to pay may be affected.
Subsidy Amount: The subsidy amount that the Australian Government disburses to the care organisation on behalf of the client can also be impacted.

To include fee leave treatments, navigate to CareVision's Billing Categories and toggle Fee Leave Treatments. Then, input details such as Client Leave Type, Treatment Type, and Discount Value. If a client exceeds the allowed leave days, payments will resume at a lower rate. For a detailed guide, refer to the step-by-step instructions on CareVision Academy.
