The commercial property needed a solution for the water penetration which could be installed quickly to minimise downtime. Newton System 500 was selected as it provided guaranteed results with minimal impact to the business.

The wall had extensive damage to the existing paint coatings, and in wet periods would allow a substantial water penetration. The water had repeatedly damaged carpets in the office, and has caused rusting to many of the metal shelving in the warehouse area. This ponding water was a Health and Safety slip hazard to the employees.
Methodology & Result
Prior to finding Wetlock, the client had contacted several waterproofing contractors, none of whom could provide a solution or quote for the work, let alone provide a warranty. Newton System 500 was selected as it provided guaranteed results, did not require removal of existing paint coatings reducing downtime to the business, and the system allowed for the installation of a battened wall lining system that would protect the membrane from inadvertent damage in the warehouse area. Slab thicknesses allowed for the Newton Basedrain to be fully rebated into the floor with a 30mm cement-grout topping over it which allowed storage shelves to be placed
hard up against the new walls and on top of the Basedrain without damage.

Works were taken from start to finish by Wetlock, including demolition, Newton 500 installation, and reinstatement of all wall linings and detailing.
