GECA and ECO-Buy Training: Green Procurement Fundamentals

Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA), has formed a partnership with Melbourne based organisation ECO-Buy to co-present training courses in Sydney in 2012.

ECO-Buy is a not for profit Centre of Excellence in Environmental Purchasing, established to encourage the purchasing of environmentally preferable (green) products and services. GECA is Australia's leading certifier of environmentally preferable goods and services.

Green Procurement Fundamentals:

Sydney: 22nd March 2012
Saxons Training Centre, 10 Barrack Street, Sydney, 9am-4pm

Sydney: 23 rd March 2012
This course will be tailored to Local Government needs and held in conjunction with Randwick City Council
Time and location TBC

Melbourne: 27th March 2012
60 Leicester St, Carlton , 9am-4pm

This course will provide a broad introduction/refresher to green purchasing and the benefits it can deliver your organisation:

• What is a green product?
• Understanding impacts through the life cycle
• How to make an environmentally preferable purchase
• Deciphering eco-labels and greenwash
• Busting the 'green products cost more' myth
• 10 steps to integrating sustainability into your purchasing systems
• How to get started and drafting an action plan
