Green Procurement Fundamentals Training Course

GECA have formed a partnership with Melbourne-based organisation ECO-BUY to offer sustainable procurement training in 2012.

Our Green Procurement Fundamentals Training Course is now eligible to earn CPD points for GBCA Green Star Associates and Accredited Professionals

Course details are below:

Green Procurement Fundamentals:

- Sydney: March 22, 9am-4pm
- Melbourne: March 27, 9am-4pm

Green Procurement Fundamentals for local government: Thanks to Randwick City Council, a special course will be held tailored to the needs of local government:

- Sydney: March 23, 2012 (at Randwick City Council Community Centre).

Green Procurement Fundamentals is a practical and action-focused course. It provides attendees with a broad introduction/refresher to green purchasing and the benefits it can deliver their organisations. It will cover:

- What is a green product?
- Understanding impacts through the life cycle
- How to make an environmentally preferable purchase
- Deciphering eco-labels and greenwash
- Busting the 'green products cost more' myth
- 10 steps to integrating sustainability into your purchasing systems
- How to get started and drafting an action plan
