Prestigious Crown Promenade Hotel gets DTAC tactiles

The Crown Casino Complex is located on the Yarra River and stretches 33 kilometres along its walking trail and extends further through the heart of Melbourne. Nestled between the exclusive Southbank shopping strip and the infamous Jeff's Shed (Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre), Crown is known for its casino, hotels, and unsurpassed shopping. It boasts a versatile and extremely well equipped convention centre, meeting facilities and an extraordinary level of service. When it comes to having everything of the best, Crown is at the forefront.

When it came time to construct the Crown Promenade Hotel, DTAC was approached to provide tactile ground surface indicators (TGSIs) for the project.

The Builders were running close to their handover date and they needed a company with a solution to supply and install quickly and add a touch of class to this new Melbourne icon.

The substrate was a thin tile of Quarella reconstituted white stone. DTAC provided the Brass Classic (DT0301) tactile in a flat back design which was adhered directly to the thin substrate which could not be drilled because of its delicate and fragile nature. The DTAC Brass Classic tactile is manufacturer in solid brass and features a concentric circle design on the face with a smooth bevelled outer edge.

DTAC delivered the project before the certificate of occupancy date and managed to enhance the already brilliant designs featured in the prestigious Crown Promenade Hotel.
