Busting GECA Market Myths!

GECA has a new 'Mythbusters' page on our website. Our aim is to empower you with facts and information so that you can bust market myths about our program with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth! Here's a sample:

Myth #1: "GECA is a privately owned and operated company."

FACT: GECA is a not for profit organisation.

In fact, GECA provides the only not-for-profit ecolabelling program in Australia. With no controlling interests, GECA is wholly independent, is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and its operations are made transparent. Its standards are developed through a process of research, international benchmarking and industry, expert and public consultation.

GECA Media and Events

GECA has organised the followig events and promotions for September 2011:

The InDesignLive website will feature a GECA story throughout September, showcasing licensees Jardan, Bauwerk, Ke-Zu, Havwoods, Office Spectrum and Verosol.

The story will appear every 10 minutes or so, click on the grey bar under 'sponsored links' to the bottom right here.

InClean Magazine's September issue focuses on 'sustainability' and features a half page advertisement (above) showcasing products by Jasol as well as Oates' 'Zest' line.

September InClean also features a full page GECA article entitled: 'Verify your green clean claim and beat the greenwash spin.'

Awards Magazine's September-October issue will feature a GECA article on sustainable retail fit outs.

GECA attended the World Green Building Week Cocktail Party: Green Leaders in the New Green Economy, hosted by the GBCA and Lend Lease at Sydney's new environmentally sustainable development, Darling Quarter.
