New Zip Hydroboil instant boiling water heaters from Zip Water

Zip has launched a new range of Hydroboil instant boiling water heaters. The award-winning system is available in white or stainless steel finishes, and comes with a choice of five micron or sub-micron filters.

The three new models, which have capacities of 3.0, 5.0 and 7.5 litres, deliver from 18 to 45 cups of filtered boiling water at one time with a recovery rate of 90 to 145 cups in one hour.

A key feature of the new range is a safety lock which prevents boiling water being dispensed inadvertently. When the user activates the safety lock, two-finger operation is required to dispense boiling water. From an OH&S viewpoint, this is an advantage. An illuminated display at the side of the tap alerts the user to the "on" or "off" status of the safety lock. For added safety, the boiling water tap is cool to the touch.

The new Hydroboil range incorporates Zip's patented twin-chamber technology which controls the water temperature to within one degree of boiling point. This technology is more effective than some other heaters that mix incoming cold water with boiling water, thereby reducing the temperature of the stored water significantly.

Zip twin-chamber technology keeps cold water separate from the boiling water in a second storage container. It also preheats incoming cold water with recycled steam from the boiling water. This improves thermal efficiency, reduces running costs and saves energy.
