GECA Ecolabelling Speaker Event

Does Ecolabelling Drive Sustainable Production and Consumption?

To celebrate a year of positive change, increased visibility and vibrant new direction, GECA are delighted to present this exciting networking and ecolabelling speaker event.

Our 3 guest speakers are leading practitioners in ecolabelling, sustainability and consumer research:

- Dr. Sasha Courville, Executive Director, ISEAL Alliance will discuss "How ecolabelling drives sustainability: an international perspective"

- Craig Jones, Sustainability Manager, Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety will offer a case study of Ecolabelling in action.

- Nick Bez, Research Director, Mobium Group will take us through leading reasearch to show how ecolabelling affects consumer behaviour in: Ecolabelling to respond to the consumer appetite - confidence in green claims.

GECA @ the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) in Taiwan

GECA is the only Australian ecolabel that is a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN).

This week, GECA CEO Judy Hollingworth and Chairman Gordon Renouf are attending the Annual General Meeting and Conference, held in Taiwan.

Topics of discussion include global trends and opportunities for green products, linking ecolabelling with government green procurement and increasing standards recognition between GEN members.

We look forward to reporting on the outcomes next month!

GECA congratulates the GBCA for a fantastic World Green Building Week (WGBW) of events from Sept 16-23.

GECA celebrated WGBW with a launch/ showcase of our Sydney Office Fit Out. The VIP Morning Tea and Open Day, on September 26, was well received and attended.
