Unitex Granular Marble at the Chelsea Flower Show
Unitex® congratulate the whole team for winning Gold at the 2008
Chelsea Flower Show. Proud to be a key supplier, Unitex created the lightweight,
20m rammed earth-look wall that provides the backdrop to the garden. Unitex have
vast experience in custom shapes and with the help of renderers managed to replicate
the appearance of rammed earth perfectly. The tapered, rammed earth wall features
an aboriginal mural by artist Gabrielle Possum and really sets the tone.
Unitex custom-made the wall out of lightweight EPS and Hi-Fibre™ render. Each 4m
panel was so manageable that two men could lift it. The wall was built in Melbourne
and transported to London where it was easily erected, saving time and money.
The Australian Garden Entry is a tribute to all those involved. Australia should
be very proud.
