Chempol® Super Premium polymer from Grace

As a result of a three year R&D program supported by an Australian Government AusInd grant and the University Of Queensland Department of Chemistry, Chemind / Grace Constructions Hi-Tech Polymers has developed a range of superior erosive wear resistant polyurethane elastomers. The unique Chempol® Super Premium polymer was developed to meet severe erosive wear found in the mining and allied industries.

The mining industry has historically used rubber and polyurethanes as wear resistant materials in their beneficiation and processing of the ore in the mineral recovery process. Typical plant units will comprise slurry pumps, screens, chutes and general applications in their hydrometallurgical processes.

Exacting prepolymer formulation of the Chempol® Super Premium materials gives excellent hydrolysis resistance to both acids and alkalis.

The engineered properties which give Chempol® Super Premium excellent erosive wear resistance, also improve the dynamic properties required for bushes and bearings.

Chempol® Super Premium will allow quick cost recovery by reduced down-time and increased productivity. Its benefits are equally applicable to high erosive or corrosive environments and to all scales of severity in wet or dry conditions.

Chempol® Super Premium prepolymers are easy to use and processed in a similar fashion to current hot-cure elastomer systems.
