Endorsements for Kingspan Insulation products achieved a new high recently, awarded the prestigious Factory Mutual (FM) Global approval for the company's Kooltherm® K10FM Soffit Board range*.

Widely acknowledged as the best performing rigid insulation available on the market, the accolade from FM Global - an international property insurance and loss prevention engineering company operating in more than 100 countries - was a welcome honour for Kooltherm®.

Recognised and respected across the globe, FM Approvals' third-party certification assures customers a product has been objectively tested and conforms to the highest national and international fire standards.

Phil Heath, Market Development Director at Kingspan Insulation said that many large commercial property developers and building owners, whether insured by FM Global or not, demanded FM-approved building products due to the organisation's comprehensive and stringent testing standards.

"The certification provides peace of mind that property assets will not be completely destroyed in the event of a fire," he said.

*FM Approval Class 4880 Class 1 valid for ceiling/soffit installation only, with non-combustible walls and a floor to ceiling/soffit height restriction of 9.1m.
