Roller Blind Solutions for Civic and Justice Facilities by Verosol Roller blind solutions for civic and justice facilities by Verosol were specified for the major refurbishment and extension of the Federal Courts of Australia in Newcastle. Located on Bolton Street, the project expanded the existing Family Court into an adjacent building, delivering approximately 1,000m2 of additional space including new courtrooms, executive offices and legal support areas. Designed and delivered by GHD and GHDWoodhead, the project required window coverings that could meet strict functional demands around privacy, light control and reliability, while contributing to a calm and professional interior environment. Ambience Twin Multi-Link Roller Blinds by Verosol were specified throughout, featuring 231 Veroscreen G3 semi-transparent fabric paired with 710 Aspect blockout fabric. Manual chain control was used in managers' and registrar offices, while motorised systems were selected for courtrooms, chambers and associates' offices. The twin-blind configuration provides day and night flexibility, minimises visual clutter and delivers consistent performance across large window openings. The result is a refined, dependable window covering solution that supports the operational needs of a modern justice facility while enhancing its architectural intent.
