Educational facilities with high levels of glazing need effective control of light, heat and glare, particularly where screens, laboratories and flexible learning spaces are central to daily use. Verosol supplied metallised roller blinds for glare control at Griffith University's Engineering, Technology and Aviation building, Building N79, at the Nathan campus in Queensland.

Designed by Hassell, the six-level facility includes 6,000 square metres of floor space and incorporates technology-rich teaching environments, laboratories and drone flying areas. More than 500 roller blinds featuring 802 SilverScreen Enviro fabric in Dark Grey were installed throughout the building. The metallised blind material offers 74 per cent solar reflectance and is Cradle to Cradle certified, supporting both performance and sustainability requirements.

Motorised roller blinds with Soltis Bio 502 fabric were also installed on the top floor. Product selection and fitting support helped address the project's curved facades, ensuring the blinds met the building's functional and design requirements. Choose Verosol's 802 SilverScreen Enviro for glare control in demanding education environments.
