Dual-Fabric Roller Blinds for Diagrid Design by Verosol At Jubilee Place in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, facade expression and interior performance were equally important. Designed by Blight Rayner, the 14-storey commercial tower is defined by its external diagrid structure, engineered to transfer loads over a road tunnel beneath the site while creating a distinctive architectural identity. To maintain visual connectivity with this structural feature, Verosol supplied approximately 500 Ambience manual and motorised roller blinds across 17,500m2 of office space. The brief required a transparent shading solution that preserved views of the diagrid from within, while still delivering glare and solar control. A dual-fabric approach was specified: 123 Earth Screen in Black to allow outward vision and filtered daylight, paired with 737 Veropaque blockout in Charcoal Black for enhanced shading when required- integrated curved blind boxes aligned with the facade geometry, reinforcing the architectural intent. The result supports tenant comfort while contributing to the building's 6 Star Green Star and targeted NABERS and WELL performance outcomes. Check out this project at www.verosolspecifications.com.au
