External and Internal Solar Control for Dilkera House by Verosol Positioned on the banks of the Brisbane River, Dilkera House by Shaun Lockyer Architects is designed as an immersive subtropical residence, embracing water, breeze and landscape through expansive openings and fluid indoor-outdoor thresholds. With the home exposed to Brisbane's seasonal storms and western sun, a refined solar and weather-control solution was essential. For the riverside facade, Verosol Ambience External Wire Guide Blinds in Hemisphere fabric were installed to provide reliable protection from wind, rain and heat, while preserving the architecture's clean lines. The slim-profile system offers smooth operation and discreet integration, ensuring the al fresco living spaces remain comfortable year-round. Inside, Ambience Motorised Multi-Link Roller Blinds were selected to span wide openings efficiently. A combination of 205 SilverScreen Performance and 712 Trezzini Blockout fabrics delivers daytime view and heat control, along with textured blockout privacy, complementing the home's off-form concrete and timber finishes. The result is a residence that remains open to its environment while maintaining exceptional comfort and control in all conditions. For more information about this project, visit www.verosol.com.au
