Motorised Roller Blinds for Sustainable Offices by Verosol

At Salesforce Tower Sydney, window coverings were required to balance expansive harbour views with daylight, glare and solar-heat control. Designed by Foster + Partners and completed in Circular Quay, the 55-level commercial tower achieved leading environmental credentials, including a 6 Star Green Star rating, WELL Core and Shell Platinum rating and 5.5 Star NABERS Energy rating.

Verosol supplied approximately 3,200 motorised Ambience roller blinds across levels 1 to 53, including Multi-Link and Twin configurations. The specified fabrics were 205 SilverScreen Performance in Black and 793 Earth Block in Charcoal Grey. With solar reflectance of up to 77 per cent, SilverScreen 205 helps temper solar radiation while maintaining outward visibility through its 4 per cent openness factor.

Somfy Sonesse 40 WT motors and KNX controls automate the blinds through sensor input, shadow management, user overrides and building-system integration. This allows daylight and glare to be managed without closing off views towards the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
