Erapol SP Series - High Performance sprayable elastomers from Era Polymers

The Erapol SP Series is a range of polyether based two component spray systems designed to be sprayed at a ratio of 1:1 by volume through a high pressure spray machine such as manufactured by Gusmer.

Three systems are available producing high performance elastomers in the hardness range of 85 Shore A up to 60 Shore D.

The Erapol SP Series has some clear performance advantages over some of the more traditional high performance sprayed polyurethane elastomers, as the Part A is based on a fully cooked prepolymer system.

The elastomers exhibit excellent physical properties, including good tensile strengths, high resilience and excellent wear characteristics, as well as outstanding hydrolytic stability.

There are also clear advantages in terms of processing, including low viscosity at processing temperatures to aid spraying.

Applications: The Erapol SP Series must be machine dispensed and require a high-pressure plural component spray machine. The minimum pressure for spraying is 2500 psi.

Typical uses: Where a high wear coating is required to protect a metal surface from abrasive conditions, for example in applications such as linings for tanks, hoppers and chutes. Other examples of use are in mineral separation spirals and cyclones.
