Cotswold Dry Wall Cladding for Hive Installation from Sareen Stone![]() Sareen Stone featured at the Australian Garden Show The first ever Australian Garden Show Sydney bloomed in Sydney's Centennial Park in September 2013, celebrating Australia's love of gardening and outdoor spaces. Sareen Stone was lucky enough to be involved with Landscape designer, Katie Burgess's stunning display the 'Hive'.
The 'Hive' installation was part of the segment for Urban Gardens that showcased designer installations representing small, urban garden spaces. Each designer was asked to present a conceptual garden of similar size to a small balcony or courtyard you would find in the inner city. Katie's design took out the silver medal for 'Best in Show' and 'People's Choice', with her stunning garden design 'The Hive' featuring Sareen Stone's Cotswold Dry Wall Cladding.
The Hive is a garden that brings people together with nature and with each other. It represents community and has been designed to inspire a sense of connectedness to everything around us. Drawing on some permaculture concepts, it is a garden that is not only beautiful, but has many functions and relationships. In this garden Katie has borrowed certain elements from modern gardens and blended them with the principles of permaculture to create a convergence of ecology and design.
