Automated Internal Roller Blinds for Hospitality Projects by Verosol The Calile Hotel in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley showcases how smart shading technology can complement contemporary design and sub-tropical architecture. Designed by Richards & Spence and built by Hutchinson Builders, the project redefines urban hospitality with natural ventilation, open spaces, and passive comfort at its core. To support this vision, 250 Verosol Veromax internal roller blinds were installed throughout the hotel's 178 luxury rooms. Featuring Privado Blockout fabric, the blinds combine privacy, light control, and energy efficiency within a soft, textured aesthetic that enhances the hotel's refined interiors. Fully automated, the Veromax blinds adjust in sync with guest activity- lowering when rooms are unoccupied to reduce air-conditioning use and maintain thermal performance. Additional safety and convenience features, including placement detection, ensure smooth operation even when obstructions are present. The installation demonstrates how precision-engineered blinds can merge form, function, and sustainability in premium hospitality environments.
