WHERE TO USE
Laying the following on internal surfaces:
- skirting boards, base-boards and rubber and PVC
profiles;
- angular pieces and protective profiles for the edges
of steps and sharp edges in general;
- resilient and textile coverings on steps, curved
surfaces and in general where bonding must be
immediate.
Mapecontact may be used on the following:
- cementitious substrates (concrete, conventional
screeds or screeds made from special binders and
skimming compounds);
- old ceramic, terrazzo and stone coatings;
- wooden substrates (parquet, chipboard or plywood);
- old paintwork, wallpaper and glass fibre fabrics.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Mapecontact
is a double sided reinforced,
adhesive strip available in rolls in various widths
(35 mm, 65 mm, 85 mm and 240 mm)
characterised by its property of forming an immediate bond with the following advantages:
- solvent-free and odourless; complies with
requirement for the HQE symbol;
- supplied ready to use;
- quick, easy application;
- high bond strength;
- allows rooms to be put back into service
immediately.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Apply at a temperature of between +15°C and
+35°C.
- Mapecontact
forms an immediate bond: the
position of the coating may not be adjusted once
bonded.
- Reposition the protective plastic layer after use
to help with handling and to protect the roll of
Mapecontact.
- Before laying the floor, make sure the resilient
coating material, the adhesive and the substrate
have been acclimatised at the recommended
temperature.
