The City BBVA complex in Madrid exemplifies how sustainable solar-control fabrics can elevate large-scale workplace design. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the new headquarters for Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria unites seven buildings around a landscaped plaza, anchored by La Vela- a 93-metre sail-shaped tower that now defines the Madrid skyline.

To achieve optimum daylight balance and occupant comfort, architects specified Verosol 802 SilverScreen Enviro across the tower's full-height glazing. The metallised fabric delivers superior heat and glare control while maintaining natural view-through, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and lowering cooling demands throughout the 19-storey workspace.
