French Provincial Border Tiles from Designer Ceramics The origins of this style are from the high fashion style of Louis XIV and Louis XV, but simplified for the rural manor homes and chateaus of the French provinces. This style has a relaxed European look creating style and elegance, and was used again in the revival style homes in the 1920's and 1960's.
