1. Pressing of Border Tiles
To mould the tiles, Designer Ceramics use a dust pressing system where finely powdered clay, and a mixture of raw materials are placed in moulds at high pressure. Dry-pressed tiles are consistent in their overall dimension.

2. Pressing of Capping Tiles
A capping tile is also known as a finishing trim piece. Designer Ceramics creates bullnose capping to complement the border tiles.

3. Glaze Application
Glazing is applied to turn the tiles' deeper areas darker and the higher areas lighter giving a real three-dimensional effect and enabling colour to be applied and adhere to the material.
