Pro-Render: A Durable External Render from JPS Coatings

The development of better coating and rendering solutions is a crucial milestone in the texture coating industry. With regard to exterior protection methods for houses and infrastructures, JPS Coatings' Pro-Render provides one of the breakthrough solutions for external wall rendering available in the market today.
Highly Durable, High-performance, Lightweight Render
Pro-Render is a highly durable, lightweight, dry-mix external render solution from JPS Coatings. A cement-based polymer, Pro-Render is an ideal formula for levelling and coat-finishing brick and blockwork substrates before final coating. Modified trowel and spray machines are the designated tools for application. The product is water-resistant, highly adhesive, and can be used to achieve 5mm thickness in just one coating pass.
Applying Pro-Render
Below are the important steps to follow before, during, and after application of the Pro-Render:
1. Before applying Pro-Render, ensure that the substrate surface is clean and dry.
2. Thoroughly examine the base surface and remove any dirt and other irregular substances that might affect complete adhesion. Do not use Pro-Render on fiber-cement sheeting or previously painted surfaces.
3. Prepare approximately 4.5 - 5.0 litres of water in a clean container and 1 x 15kg bag of Pro-Render. A 1 X 15kg bag of Pro-Render is estimated to cover at least 2-6m2 surface depending on the applied thickness.

4. Add the Pro-Render powder to the water.
5. Stir the mixture until the desired consistency is achieved. The mixture should be lump-free.
6. Take note that excessive use of water is not advisable. Doing so might result in a weak rendering solution that might crack or delaminate over time.
7. Since the amount of water depends on the desired consistency and ambient temperature, always keep in mind that a 15kg bag of Pro-Render requires no more than 5.3 litres of water.
8. Apply the mixture using hawk & trowel. The solution can be used to achieve 5mm thickness in just one coating pass, but an area can be worked on to achieve up to 8mm thickness from the bottom to the top surface. Do not apply too much coating on a single part of a surface.
9. After rendering application, let the solution dry. At least 25° and 50% relative humidity must be present to achieve complete drying within 2-4 hours. The presence of higher relative humidity or lower temperatures may make the drying process longer.
10. Once dried, apply a finish coating. The curing process takes at least seven days.
