The next big thing to launch at DesignBUILD 2014

Australia's largest fully integrated sustainable feature, Project Next will launch at DesignBUILD 2014, revealing for the first time a comprehensive look inside innovative residential and commercial spaces of the future.

Exhibition Manager Chris May said that under the guidance of Australian Living's sustainability expert Cameron Rosen, selected exhibitors will come together to present an industry leading collaborative feature that is energy efficient, thermally comfortable and healthy.

"Project Next is the exciting evolution of the Future Living concept, which was launched at DesignBUILD Sydney 2013 with huge success.

"Our vision is to create a space where sustainable products are presented in-situ, with peeled back layers enabling visibility of core materials, so that visitors can see how new products best work alongside each other for a more sustainable outcome.

"We believe this approach will give architects, designers and specifiers a visionary opportunity to view a range of innovative products from all sectors of the building and construction industry," he said.

Project Next will take prime position on the DesignBUILD show floor, occupying more than 250 m2 of space. In 2013 participants included industry front runners such as CSR, Bluescope Steel, ASKIN Performance Panels, Kingspan, Boral, Ritek and Vergola. Leading industry players including ASKIN Performance Panels, Brickworks, Cabots, Lend Lease, Cundall and Graham Hunt Architects are already confirmed for 2014.

"Complemented by workshops and seminars, Project Next has cemented its place as the next big thing and we're excited to bring the real life opportunity to industry trades and professionals," said Mr May.

Mr May added that online registrations for DesignBUILD 2014 have been strong since opening late last month.

"As we head into the end of the year, trades and professionals are looking at their workload for 2014 and are seeking ways to win new projects and stay ahead of competitors," he said.

DesignBUILD provides the complete platform for education, information, innovation and inspiration and will showcase the best of the industry, to the best in the industry.

Registrations are now available for DesignBUILD, which will open over three days from 2 - 4 April 2014 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

DesignBUILD is Australia's largest trade and professional only design, build and construction exhibition, attracting hundreds of industry leading exhibitors and thousands of visitors each year. Pre-register for free and quick entry to the show at www.designbuildexpo.com.au or call 02 9275 9218.
