Reduce Waiting Time with Acrylic Rendering from JPS Coatings

JPS acrylic based renders

Acrylic based renders have become a staple material in the past few years because of their high tensile strength, flexibility, and resistance to UV, water, and cracks compared to other types of render. JPS Coatings takes the tried and tested acrylic render to the next level with Polyrend. Polyrend is a patching compound that comes in either Fine or Coarse finish. The product is known for its efficient adhesion in various masonry substrates due to its properties as a semi-liquid dispensable paste.

What makes Polyrend suitable and even more impressive is its quick drying capability. The rendering system is touch dry in 60 minutes at 25 and 50% relative humidity, perfect for Australian climates. Applications in lower temperatures and higher relative humidity levels can result in having longer drying time. The quick drying and curing time enables overcoating of the wall the next day with a selected range of paint and textured coatings.

Once the acrylic render has fully dried, it becomes impervious to rain and moisture, and resistant to bacteria.

Skim coating over flush jointed block work before application of texture coating is also possible with Polyrend Fine. It can work as a base filler for surface irregularities and blemishes of up to 4mm per coat in a single coat; while Polyrend Coarse can do the same but up to 6mm per coat.

Spreading rates vary depending on method and conditions of application. A pail of Polyrend Fine has a spreading rate of 0.6m2 per litre, approximately 8-9m2 corresponds to 2,000 microns dry film thickness, assuming no loss. While the same amount of Polyrend Coarse has a spreading rate of 0.5m2 per litre, approximately 7-8m2 corresponds to 2,000 microns dry film thickness, assuming no loss.
