Cova-Wall® Polystyrene Wall Cladding System by JPS Coatings recently received CodeMark™ Certification.. Cova-Wall® is a reinforced, lightweight and insulated cladding system used for external wall applications.
Through extensive product research and development, JPS Coatings designed and manufactured Cova-Wall® Polystyrene Wall Cladding to meet harsh Australian climatic conditions. The full batten system is comprised of the following:
- Expanded polystyrene sheets screwed to wall substrate
- Base coat on top of polystyrene panels
- Fibreglass mesh
- Finishing coat
- Choice of texture coating in desired colour

The closed cellular structure of the expanded polystyrene sheets offers a durable yet lightweight cladding solution. The design of Cova-Wall® conforms to AS 4284:2008 (Testing of Building Facades) and exhibits exceptional tensile strength and shock absorbing capabilities.
The same closed cell matrix accounts for the polystyrene wall claddings ability to resist water penetration or absorption. Cova-Wall® is a fire retardant material reducing flammability and delays combustion. The system requires minimal upkeep, as it's weatherproof and resistant to mould and vermin.
Cova-Wall® exterior insulated facades provide a non-load bearing finishing system that gives the structure an appealing, rendered appearance. The polystyrene wall cladding system offers industry specifiers the freedom to showcase their creativity and design abilities as the panels are highly adaptable to any wall substrate and finish coatings.
In addition, Cova-Wall® provides an excellent thermal insulation that helps improve the energy efficiency by keeping the cold or warm air from penetrating the walls. There are two ways to install Cova-Wall®:
- It can be anchored directly to the building wall frame
- Installed with a 25mm expanded polystyrene sheets battened cavity using 10G Class 3 fasteners
