The expanded polystyrene panels are placed snugly between the floor joists to create a thermal barrier and to stop heat escaping in winter and entering in summer. Perfect for retro-fitting to existing homes, pole homes and as insulation for new homes, the flexi-cut edges of the Expol insulation panels allow for adjustments if there are varying floor joist spacings. Expol panels conform to the minimum R-value of 1.4 for timber floors of AS/NZS 4859.1:2002. Safe to install, non-allergenic, flame retardant and long-lasting, the thermal performance of Expol Underfloor Insulation is not affected by ageing, is moisture resistant and contains no CFCs.
