The growing interest in achieving a sustainable environment starts right from the materials used and processes to which extruded polystyrene sheets are made.

A solid granule of polystyrene resin is used to create extruded polystyrene foam insulation sheets. Under controlled heat and pressure, the granules are filled into an extruder where they are melted and blended with additives before a blowing agent is added to infuse material expansion.

The mixture is then pressed through a die machine where it is moulded and cut into the desired shape. The continuous process used to create extruded polystyrene foam insulation sheets generates its hallmark closed cellular physical structure.
